How are u? Hope you are well for this 1 month of 2009.
For me, i just have a nice long week end, as monday was public holiday: Australia Day!
I like day off. But What is Australia Day? It's day for family meeting, Aussie Flag everywhere and massive fireworks!
As all european country, some people loose a bit their mind with nationalist ideas and create few riots in some town. Few troubles were notice yesterday.
For me, no worries! croissant, beach, kiting, 1 beer and relax was all my day!

Aussies clueless on Australia Day: poll

Australia Day falls on January 26, the day the First Fleet landed on Australian shores in 1788.
Australian of the Year Mick Dodson says that date isolates indigenous people and he wants a conversation about changing it.
But a poll conducted last week found less than half those surveyed could correctly name January 26 as the day the First Fleet landed.
More than one in four thought it was the date that Australia was declared a nation - actually January 1, 1901.
Others incorrectly plumped for January 26 as the date in 1770 when Captain James Cook discovered Australia.
In all, more than 40 per cent of those surveyed got the answer wrong.
A more honest response came from the 16 per cent of respondents who admitted they did not know what the date represented.
The online poll of 1000 people was conducted by Essential Research.
The Federal Government has ruled out changing the date of Australia Day.
